What is Alpha?

We believe that everyone should have the chance to explore faith, ask questions and share their point of view.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring life’s big questions. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe and everyone is welcome. It runs online, in cafés, churches, universities, homes—you name it! No two Alphas look the same, but they generally have three key things in common: hospitality, a talk and good conversation.

What happens at Alpha?

There are 3 main components to Alpha at Everyone Church:

Food & Hang Out - We eat! Enjoy a coffee, snack or even lunch! Get to know others as well!

Watch - Each week we play a short video on various topics exploring faith and life’s big questions. The aim of these videos is to spark discussion.

Discuss - One of the most important parts of any Alpha is the chance to share thoughts and ideas in small groups. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t share (seriously). It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.

WHEN & WHERE IS ALPHA?

Our next Alpha Course starts on Sunday June 9th.

TIME: 10:30am until 11:30am (after our Sunday morning church service)
WHERE: Juicy Goose Cafe, Smeaton Grange
HOW MANY WEEKS: 4 weeks
COST: It is FREE! A small morning tea will be provided.
